Auto Care Association’s Bill Hanvey Named Northwood University’s 2025 Outstanding Business Leader Honoree

BETHESDA, Md. – March 5, 2025 – Northwood University named Auto Care Association President and CEO Bill Hanvey as a 2025 Outstanding Business Leader Honoree. Hanvey will be recognized during Northwood University’s 45th annual Outstanding Business Leader Awards Gala, set to take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.  


The Outstanding Business Leader Award was developed by Dr. Arthur Turner, co-founder of Northwood University, and was established by the university’s Board of Trustees in 1981. The Outstanding Business Leader awards aim to “provide a means to overcome the tremendous challenges faced by today’s college students” through honorees that “provide a powerful motivation for these students, and their personal stories are proof that true success is obtainable.”

Northwood University’s 2025 Outstanding Business Leader Honorees are:  

  • Ambassador David T. Fischer (Ret.), chairman, Suburban Collection Holdings, LLC 
  • J.W. Fisher, P.E., president, Fisher Contracting Company 

  • Bill Hanvey, MAAP, president and CEO, Auto Care Association 

  • John Hennessey, founder and CEO, Hennessey Special Vehicles, Hennessey Performance, and Turner School 


Additionally, the Richard DeVos Young Entrepreneur Award will be presented to Ben Marsh and Jacob Spence, founders and co-owners of Creation Coffee.
