YANG Honors Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) with Donation Marking 65th Anniversary
BETHESDA, Md. – June 20, 2024 – The Young Auto Care Network Group (YANG), an Auto Care Association community of young industry professionals under the age of 40, is proud to support the Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) in reaching its milestone anniversary fundraiser goal to mark 65 years of charitable service to the automotive aftermarket community. The YANG community is pleased to announce a contribution of $6,500 to AACF, honoring the organizations 65th anniversary of serving the auto care industry. AACF aims to raise $65,000 through 1,000 donations of $65 each, and YANG is proud to support in this initiative. The YANG community will continue to raise funds throughout the year in support of AACF's fundraiser goal.
“Giving back is a key pillar of the Young Auto Care Network Group,” said Grace Hovis, chair, YANG. “We see the importance of helping to support the industry that is home to us and giving back to the Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation is a great way to do that. You never know when you may find yourself in a place of need – and AACF will be there to support you. To AACF: congratulations on 65 years of supporting the great men and women of our industry!”
Donations for the AACF were raised through the YANG community’s #YANGGivesBack t-shirt fundraising campaign, which was first launched in 2023. The campaign operates year-round and encourages donors to support those in need within the automotive aftermarket industry with proceeds going to AACF. T-shirts promoting the #YANGGivesBack campaign are available at various Auto Care Association in-person events and at select YANG regional meet-up events.
“We are thankful for the generous support of the YANG community and all it has done to support our mission over the years,” said Jon Owens, board chair, AACF. “YANG’s donation in honor of the AACF’s 65 years of service to the automotive aftermarket community ensures that we not only will be able to achieve our fundraiser goal but will also be able to provide assistance for more families in need in the future. We look forward to our continued partnership with YANG and being able to do great things for the automotive aftermarket together.”
The AACF was founded in 1959 to assist automotive aftermarket members and their families who, due to catastrophic illness or a terrible accident, have exhausted all other available resources in maintaining a reasonable existence.
