The UAF’s “Celebrate Mort” event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at The Venetian Las Vegas. AWDA, a proud Diamond Lifetime Trustee of the Foundation and one of its founders, has secured the premier supporter spot with a generous $50,000 donation. To Celebrate Mort, anyone can join for a special event in Las Vegas by making a tax-deductible donation of $1,000 to UAF to support Mort’s vision. To donate and RSVP, text “MORT” to 53-555. All donations count toward Lifetime Donor status.
“We were thrilled when Mort let us know he would like to celebrate his milestone birthday in support of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation and even more excited when AWDA became the premier celebration host of the special reception to honor Mort,” said John R. Washbish, MAAP, UAF senior vice chairman. “Mort and AWDA share the belief that scholarships and educational programs are an investment in the next generation of industry professionals. We are grateful for Mort’s vision and leadership through the years and applaud the AWDA Board of Governors and its members for their unwavering commitment to the betterment of our industry. We look forward to ‘Celebrating Mort’ and honoring his remarkable legacy.”
“AWDA continues to be one of the biggest supporters of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation,” said Ashlee Arnold, AWDA chairperson and vice president, Arnold Oil Company. “With an industry legend like Mort Schwartz, who remains synonymous with the Foundation, the AWDA board was excited to establish the premier sponsorship level of support for this great event in celebration of him, and to continue our support of this amazing cause.”
