Auto Care Association Introduces New Catalog Data Assessment Tool
By Zoi' Holloway
BETHESDA, Md. – August 9, 2023 – The Auto Care Association today announced its newest digital product: the Catalog Assessment Tool. Designed to identify discrepancies, the Catalog Assessment Tool will help companies quickly rectify errors in their data. The tool is free to use for Auto Care Data Standards subscribers.
The introduction of this new tool supports the Auto Care Association’s equipping Auto Care Data Standards subscribers with the ability to provide the best content available in the auto care industry, helping businesses to:
- remove duplicated communication and distribution efforts;
- save time and money
- lower supply chain costs;
- increase product introduction and speed to market;
- increase sales and operational efficiencies; and reduce returns
“We’re so excited to assist in advancing the industry’s content by providing this new data feature,” said Jonathan Larsen, vice president, standards, digital products, Auto Care Association. “As more subscribers take advantage of the tool, we can begin to observe when and how quickly this data is being embraced within the industry.”
Data Standards subscribers can begin using the tool through their Auto Care VIP Data Standards dashboard. Once logged into the dashboard, users can simply upload their ACES® and PIES™ files into the system and within a few minutes the system will run the files and return an assessment – the fastest assessment available in the aftermarket industry.
The Auto Care Association will never transmit user data or share user content with competitors or trading partners. Data can only be viewed by subscribers and Auto Care Technology staff. Data is securely stored via servers and is properly discarded post-assessment.
