Auto Care Association Expands TrendLens™ Market Performance Analysis Capabilities with New Industry Indicators Data

BETHESDA, Md. – October 24, 2024 – The Auto Care Association today announced the trendlens logo_cmykaddition of four new economic industry indicators to its TrendLens™ interactive data platform. The introduction of these new data points further enhance the data platform’s value for automotive aftermarket businesses. These latest additions enable users to monitor overall employment numbers and average wages, offering a more comprehensive view of the maintenance and repair sector.

    Truck Transportation (2004 = 100) – PPI: This measures price changes in truck transportation, which is crucial for the distribution of aftermarket parts and services. Rising costs can indicate broader economic trends affecting logistics in the automotive sector. (Source: Department of Labor) 

    Nonrevolving Consumer Credit: This indicator reflects consumer borrowing for vehicle-related and other purchases that require fixed payments, offering insights into consumer spending habits in the automotive aftermarket. (Source: Federal Reserve Board)
