South Dakota, Montana, Texas, Missouri, and Utah have proposed bills regulating vehicle repairs, focusing on insurance practices, OEM parts, and inspection laws. Vermont aims to phase out PFAS in consumer products, while Texas and Missouri are pushing for fair access to digital and product repair information. Right to repair bills are also gaining traction, with states like West Virginia, Florida, Oregon, Washington, and Illinois introducing measures to expand repair access for farm equipment, electronics, and mobility devices. Meanwhile, California lawmakers are scrambling to amend a controversial lemon law reform, Oregon passed a right to repair bill for wheelchairs, and Wisconsin introduced a bill to grant farmers greater access to repair tools and data.

Hawaii (SB 1120) aims to reduce transportation carbon, and New Mexico (HB 212) seeks to phase out PFAS chemicals. West Virginia and Tennessee are pushing for right-to-repair laws for electronics and agricultural equipment. Florida (SB 412) addresses motorized wheelchair repairs, and Oregon (HB 3512) seeks to ban PFAS in products. Oklahoma is introducing career training tax credits, and Pennsylvania is launching a bus mechanic apprenticeship program.
