Auto Care Association and Latin Expo Group to Make Joint Charitable Donation in Panama This Week

BETHESDA, MD – July 8, 2014 – The Latin Expo Group and the Auto Care Association are proud to announce that they are making a joint $10,000 donation to Niños de Cristal this week during the first-ever Latin Auto Parts Expo in Panama. Niños de Cristal is a Panamanian charitable institution that cares for children with osteogenesis imperfect, a genetic bone disorder also known as brittle bone disease, which is characterized by fragile bones that break easily.

The presentation of the check will be made at the official inauguration ceremony July 9, 2014 at 5 p.m. by Gustavo Lima, CEO, Latin Expo Group LLC and Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO, Auto Care Association.

“We are pleased that with our Latin Auto Parts Expo special partners Auto Care Association we are able to contribute this small token of support for such a wonderful charity in Panama,” said Lima.

“The Auto Care Association views partnerships as more than just business so we are delighted to demonstrate our compassion to a worthy local cause that helps the children of Panama,” said Schmatz.

The first-ever Latin Auto Parts Expo is this week, July 9-11, 2014 at the Atlapa Convention Center in Panama City, Panama. The Auto Care Association is hosting an on-site member pavilion with more than 40 member companies exhibiting, in addition to an Auto Care Association member center, networking reception and education sessions.
