China’s light passenger vehicle parc reached a new milestone in 2013 breaking the 100 million unit level, ushering China into its “auto care era.” Strong new vehicle sales in 2013 of almost 19 million light passenger vehicles continued to add fuel to their expanding auto care industry, which grew 19 percent over 2012.

segment of the Auto Care Association, is accepting entries for the 2014
AIA Import Product and Marketing Awards. The AIA Import Product and
Marketing Awards program honors brands and companies for their programs
for import nameplate cars or trucks, and is open to all Automotive
Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) exhibitors. Entries and award winners
will be recognized during AAPEX in Las Vegas, Nev., on Nov. 4.
Competition Recognizes the Best in Vehicle Connectivity
MD – July 9, 2014 – The Aftermarket Telematics Challenge, sponsored by
the Auto Care Association, is open and accepting applications from
makers of auto care products that offer the benefits of a connected
vehicle from an auto care solution. The annual competition recognizes
the winner with $10,000 of scholarships in their name. Scholarships are
awarded by the GAAS scholarship fund to students preparing for an
automotive career in the fields of technology or telematics.
BETHESDA, MD – July 8, 2014 – The Latin Expo Group and the Auto Care
Association are proud to announce that they are making a joint $10,000
donation to Niños de Cristal this week during the first-ever Latin Auto
Parts Expo in Panama. Niños de Cristal is a Panamanian charitable
institution that cares for children with osteogenesis imperfect, a
genetic bone disorder also known as brittle bone disease, which is
characterized by fragile bones that break easily.
