The roundtables were part of a study being undertaken by the office on copyright law and its relation to software-embedded consumer products, as well as issues related to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
BETHESDA, MD – May 19, 2016 - The Auto Care Association hosted eight companies on a trade mission to Lima, Peru, May 17-19, the first in a series of trade missions that will be organized as part of the Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) award from the U.S. Department of Commerce. BETHESDA, MD – May 18, 2016 - The Auto Care Association expressed disappointment today that the Department of Labor’s (DOL) final rulemaking governing overtime pay regulation ignored the studies, meetings and thousands of comments received from a broad swath of American businesses, expressing serious objections to the proposed changes. The final rule increases the salary threshold for overtime eligibility to $47,476, which is a 100 percent increase, and it has an effective date of Dec. 1, 2016.
